Sheldon Lavin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of OSI Group, LLC, has built a sterling reputation, as well as a very strong client portfolio in his time as one of the leaders in the world of meat processing and services. Mr. Lavin also currently holds the title of President of OSI International Foods, Ltd, and continues to be an active force in nearly all aspects of the company, ensuring that the company continues to operate according to the high standards that he has set.
It was in 1970 that Mr. Lavin was first introduced to the world of meat processing and services when he helped to secure funding for Otto and Son’s, which would eventually become the international powerhouse, OSI Group. By implementing his unique drive for success throughout his company, OSI Group has gone from a small food processing enterprise to the global juggernaut that it is today. Due to his continued success and pension for leading OSI Group into new territory, all the while, growing exponentially, India’s Vision World Academy recognized Mr. Lavin in 2016 by presenting him with the Global Visionary Award. This is just the latest award among many that Mr. Lavin has received during his time as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of OSI Group, when as recently as 2015, Mr. Lavin was recognized by RSM US LLP, where he received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in the business community of Chicago, IL. Under Mr. Lavin’s leadership, OSI Group has also received a myriad of awards pertaining to their excellence regarding the environment and sustainability.
While Mr. Lavin is known for his undeniable work ethic and ability to grow his companies into leaders of respective industries, he has spent a great deal of his life implementing a family oriented structure within these companies, giving all of his employees a platform in which to be heard, and receiving general praise from those who work under him.
