Flavio Maluf is a Brazilian businessperson and mechanical engineer. He serves as the president and chief executive officer of Eucatex Group, a company that operates in the construction and furniture industry. Mr. Maluf is also the president of GrandFood Group, the owner of Premier Pet and Golden brand feeds.

LinkedIn indicates Flavio Maluf graduated from Fundação Armando AlvaresPenteado (FAAP) with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. After completing his studies at FAAP, Flavio relocated to the United States to study Business Administration at the New York University. He later worked in the United States for a couple of years before returning to Brazil in 1987. Following his return, he joined the family company, Eucatex where he worked his way up the company’s executive positions.

In 1997, Mr. Maluf was elected president of the company after serving in the frame executives for some time. The Growth of Eucatex Group
Wikipedia writes that under Maluf’s leadership, Eucatex started to manufacture paints, initially meant to coat its acoustic panels and ceiling tiles. With the inauguration of a new factory in 1994, Eucatex developed an entire line of paints and varnishes. With time, Eucatex offered the market a wide variety of paints to choose from.
The company also invested in land and reforestation to guarantee self-sufficiency in the supply of raw materials. The Group owns 44,000 hectares of forest in Sao Paulo. Additionally, Eucatex ensures that its forests are managed according to the social, economic and environmental standards.
Today, the company is a market leader and a chief producer of MDP and MDF panels, laminate floors, hardboards, paints and varnishes and wall partitions. It owns four high-tech factories in Salto and Botucatu and currently exports to over 50 countries around the world like Germany, the United States, England, Holland, and Mexico.
